Privacy & Cookie Policy

How we use information, protect your choices and handle requests.

Who we are

BIZZNESS Websites / BIZZNESS MACHINE operate the website services and analysis described here. Contact chris@bizznesswebsites.com about your information, this policy or any privacy concern.

Information we collect

When you request a check-up, we collect your name, email, business name, website address and relationship to that website. You may also provide your location, telephone number and concerns. We record your privacy acknowledgement and separate optional marketing choice. We store the landing page, referring website where your browser provides it, and campaign tags (UTM values) supplied in the link.

We keep public-page scan evidence, audit outputs and associated reports. Public business or contact information encountered on the website may form part of that evidence. For orders, we hold order references, the amount, currency and payment status. Stripe processes payment details; our application does not collect or store your full card number. Hosting and service providers may handle IP addresses and technical or security logs.

Why we use information and our lawful bases

We use contact and business details to respond to enquiries, take steps you request before a contract, fulfil paid orders and communicate about reports or website work. Our lawful basis is contract or pre-contract steps where applicable; business-contact information used for a company’s order may instead be processed under legitimate interests.

We rely on legitimate interests for proportionate public website analysis, providing a requested free check-up, maintaining reliable services, preventing fraud and protecting security. This means a genuine business purpose balanced against your rights and reasonable expectations, using only information reasonably needed. You can object, and we will consider your circumstances. Any essential business follow-up under legitimate interests must also be lawful under electronic marketing rules; this is not permission to send unrestricted marketing.

Optional email tips and offers use consent where you opt in. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or using an unsubscribe option in a message; this does not affect earlier lawful processing. We use legal obligation for accounting, tax and other records that the law requires us to retain.

Public analysis and service providers

Checks read publicly accessible pages. We do not enter private admin systems or private analytics without the owner’s authorisation. Do not submit confidential notes, passwords or unnecessary information about other people.

Information needed to provide the service is processed by hosting and cloud database infrastructure (Lovable Cloud), public-page analysis tools such as Firecrawl, AI analysis infrastructure, workflow services such as Inngest, and email services including Gmail. Stripe handles checkout and payment security. Google Fonts supplies the website’s fonts and receives technical connection information when they load. We may share necessary information with professional advisers or authorities where required. Provider processing is limited to the relevant service; we do not give providers unrestricted access to your business systems.

International processing and retention

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where a transfer takes place, we must use an applicable adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual safeguards where required, and assess any additional protections needed. Contact us for the applicable arrangements for your information; we do not promise that all processing stays in the UK.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, analysis, order, support and evidence of agreed work, taking account of legal record-keeping requirements, disputes and security needs. We review ongoing need rather than promise a fixed automatic deletion date. You can ask about the retention of your records.

Cookies and similar technologies

Site, admin-session and checkout functions may use necessary cookies or browser storage. Stripe may use payment and fraud-prevention technologies under its own privacy and cookie information. The check-up form records referral and campaign information but does not implement device fingerprinting; this is not a claim about every technology used by hosting or payment providers.

No optional visitor analytics or advertising tracker is configured in the inspected application code. Hosting or preview environments may use technical diagnostics. If optional tracking is introduced, we will explain it and provide the consent or clear choice/opt-out required under the applicable PECR rules before relying on it. The requirements depend on the purpose and any applicable exemption, not simply the label “analytics”. You can manage cookies in your browser, although blocking necessary technologies may prevent sign-in or checkout.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal information, object to processing, withdraw consent, and request portability where applicable. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions; for example, some payment records must be retained. We may need to confirm your identity before acting.

Email chris@bizznesswebsites.com to exercise your rights. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We welcome the chance to resolve a concern first, but you do not have to contact us before complaining.
